In her own words, YDLR is a multi-hyphenate: DJ, singer-songwriter, actress and soon to be a MA graduate.

New to the DJ scene, YDLR started her DJ career on vinyl in late 2023, after she lost her voice due to a chest infection and was unable to sing. She says: “I was really drawn to the feeling of vinyl, and collecting records has brought me a new kind of pleasure to listening and playing music. I find that I DJ completely differently with vinyl than I do with digital. When I’m playing a pure vinyl set I play more organically and I give more space to the music.”

Playing monthly on EXT Radio, expect a selection YDLR’s favourite records, crossing genres and decades.

You can catch YDLR playing a pure vinyl set at her monthly YDLR & Friends residency at BRICKS Bar in Brixton on the third Thursday of every month, alongside fellow emerging vinyl DJs.
